Jesus had a major impact on the world, and he has influenced billions of people since his death. The book Acts of Apostles tells about how Jesus' teachings spread throughout Rome; this is what started Christianity.

The Catholic Church believes that its public ministry began at Pentecost, occurring fifty days following the date Christ is believed to have resurrected. From this day onward until today they've been led by their apostles who received the Holy Spirit on account of Jesus' resurrection and mission for them.

The Catholic Church teaches that the college of bishops, led by the Bishop of Rome are the successors to the Apostles.
